Tirupati is the famous temple city in the southern state of Tamil Nadu. I have always longed to visit the temple of Tirumala for a long time. This time I planned the trip entirely myself and went to Tirupati to pay the homage at the temple. There are many ways to reach the temple town of Tirupati from Katpadi Junction. I chose to travel by train as it is very convenient and easy way of travelling.
Train Journey from Katpadi
There are a number of trains available in the sector. I wanted to travel in the AC 3rd tier of the railways and hence I booked the tickets in the Sabari Express that starts from the Trivandrum Central Railway Station. The train reaches the Katpadi Junction at 22.45 at night. I used IRCTC to book my tickets in the train and booked them easily online using the net banking option.

Temple Visit in Tirupati
One of the famous oldest temples of the city is the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Vaari Temple. There is always a huge rush to reach the temple every time. There is a special ticket for darshan in the temples. The temple ambience is excellent & soothing. The crowd management for different section is very good.
